    USACE halts gated flood releases from Somerville Dam

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at Somerville Lake Dam announce they have suspended all gated flood releases due to the current weather pattern, continuing rains and current Brazos River flows. With the current lake elevation, the roadway across the uncontrolled spillway is inundated and has been closed.

The outflows will remain at 400cfs through the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority will increase flows to 1,100cfs Monday evening after 7 p.m.
