  • Construction schedule update at Canyon Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Canyon Lake has rescheduled gate replacement work that was planned for this year. The gates are functioning as designed and priority in sequence of repairs has changed.  Work on the control tower service bridge will precede gate replacement work.  As a result of this change, USACE does not anticipate disruptions to river flow releases that would have resulted from the gate replacement work. USACE intends to change over low flow releases to the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority later this week.
  • Construction of Outlet Works/Stilling Basin at Lake O’ the Pines causes closure

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials with the Fort Worth District, announced today, from March 13 through 17, the Stilling Basin (Outlet Area) at Lake O' the Pines will be closed to the public, for rip-rap placement and bank stabilization work.
  • Day Use fees to resume at North Shore Park, Wright Patman Lake

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials with the Fort Worth District, announced today, beginning April 1, Day Use Fees will resume at North Shore Park at Wright Patman Lake.
  • Prescribed Burn Operations at Stillhouse Hollow Lake

    Working in conjunction with Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Killeen Fire Department, and Salado Volunteer Fire Department, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Stillhouse Hollow Lake will be conducting prescribed burn operations March 8, at the Union Grove Wildlife Management Area near Salado, Texas located at Union Grove Lane off FM 2484.
  • Modified Central City Project receives $20M in FY 2023 Work Plan

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers delivered to Congress its Fiscal Year 2023 Work Plan for the Army Civil Works program Feb. 27. In the FY23 Work Plan, Fort Worth District’s Modified Central City project received $20M to continue the design of the project, which will include completing the Clear Fork, Trinity Point, and Tarrant Regional Water District Isolation Gates and TRWD Pump Station beyond the initial design. 
  • Stillhouse Hollow Lake’s Chalk Ridge Fall Park temporarily closing

    Officials with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that effective March 14, Chalk Ridge Fall Park, at Stillhouse Hollow Lake, will be temporarily closed for maintenance. The park will be closed at 4 p.m. on March 14 and scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. on March 16. Maintenance will include moving supplies and equipment to service different amenities within the park. Patience and understanding of this closing are appreciated.
