    Officials with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that effective Monday, October 20-28, 2025, Belton Lake Project Office is planning to temporarily close Belton Lakeview Park Boat Ramp to allow for contractors to complete scheduled work.

    Officials with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Stillhouse Hollow Lake will be closing Dana Peak Park beginning October 14th, 2025, while repairs are made to the road leading into the park. The Stillhouse Hollow Lake Office asks that you please remain outside of the construction zone until project completion.

  • Waco Lake Hunting Program Changes

    Effective this 2025 – 2026 Hunting Season, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Waco Lake will require all hunters to obtain a permit through Recreation.gov, regardless of game type. The cost of each permit will be $15. Permits will be available starting August 15th, 2025.

The legacy website that has been used to manage the public hunting program at the Whitney and Aquilla Lakes Project for more than 20 years is being discontinued.

    Officials with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that effective Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Belton Lake Project Office is planning to temporarily close Westcliff Park to allow for contracted construction work to be completed throughout the park. Westcliff Park received significant damage during the recent flood events. To ensure public safety, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be temporarily closing the park to allow for the repairs to be performed.
  • Army Corps of Engineers waives day use fees at recreation areas in observance of Army Corps of Engineers’ Birthday and Juneteenth Celebration

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced that it will waive day use fees at its more than 2,600 USACE-operated recreation areas nationwide in observance of the USACE birthday, June 16, and Juneteenth National Independence Day, June 19.

  • USACE awards $26.3 million construction contract for Delta Pump Station, Dallas Floodway

    On April 8, 2025, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, announced the award of a construction contract to Ahtna-Great Lakes E&I JV, totaling $26,381,300.00. This work involves the replacement and rehabilitation of the Delta Pump Station with two high-flow pumps, pump house, and sump. The existing 700 horsepower pumps will be replaced with pumps of equal capacity but capable of pumping 40,000 gallons per minute with a total dynamic head of 46.4 feet significantly increasing operational efficiencies.

The park will be temporarily closed beginning Tuesday, February 17, 2025. Closures are expected to remain through the end of February with plans to re-open the first week in March 2025.
