OPEN HOUSE AND PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE RELEASE OF THE DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT, AND FINDING OF NO SIGNIFICANT IMPACT FOR THE
PROPOSED PIER 121 PROJECT
LEWISVILLE LAKE, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District (USACE), hereby informs the public of an open house and the release of the draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Pier 121 Project (hereafter, Proposed Project), and a draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the public to comment on.
The Pier 121 Marina is operated on a lease to Safe Harbor Marinas (the Project Proponent) from the USACE. The purpose of the Proposed Project is to provide additional recreational facilities along the periphery of Lewisville Lake and to serve and provide the greater Dallas-Fort Worth population with increased access to enjoyable outdoor activities and amenities. The Proposed Project entails a comprehensive resort which includes a lakeside lodge, RV campground, RV storage, glamping sites, and a surf beach.
The public open house will be on June 5, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm CT, at the Hedrick House, 1407 Creekview Dr, Lewisville, Texas 75067. During this open house meeting, a rolling slide deck and a series of posters displaying various features of the Proposed Project and the Draft EA will be available for the public to view and ask questions concerning the Proposed Project. After the presentation the public can ask questions concerning the Proposed Project. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, a 30-day comment period will begin on May 31, 2024, and end on June 30, 2024.
