The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers today announced the first set of proposals being invited to apply for loans under the new Corps Water Infrastructure Financing Program (CWIFP).
Among the invited applicants is the Meadow Lake Water and Control Improvement District No. 1 for $17 million in potential federal financing to complete the rehabilitation of Meadow Lake Dam located near Seguin, Texas, on the Guadalupe River. The application includes the replacement of the floodgates and spillway gates, improvements to the dam and foundation stability, and hydrologic and hydraulic adequacy planning of the dam and spillway.
