U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announce selection of a new marina operator at Belton Lake

FORT WORTH, Texas – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that North Point Yacht Club has been selected to operate a new marina at Belton Lake.

The selection is part of the process to award a competitive lease of a commercial concession (marina) at Belton Lake. There were four proposals received.  The process will continue with the awarding of a lease with North Point Yacht Club in order to obtain required local, state and federal requirements to fulfill the specifications in the lease.

“We are pleased the Corps of Engineers has been able to work through this difficult situation to establish a new marina operator at Belton Lake,” said District Commander, Col. Calvin Hudson.  “We are confident that North Point Yacht Club will be able to provide a safe and enjoyable recreation opportunity for boat owners and visitors at Belton Lake.”
