FORT WORTH, Texas – The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers at Belton Lake will temporarily allow lake worthy floating structures to remain at the current Pier 36 Marina until Nov. 30, 2015.
This decision was made today during a hearing in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Texas. A second bankruptcy hearing is scheduled for Aug. 25.
USACE continues the acquisition process for a new operator of the marina area currently occupied by the Pier 36 Marina. USACE is proceeding with a full and open competition to get the best offer possible for a marina at Belton Lake.
The following notice is being posted and sent to current slip renters and other interested parties:
“Pier 36 Marina (the Marina) will be allowed to operate past Sept. 8, 2015. Vessel (boat or barge) owners may remain at the Marina in accordance with any existing rental agreements with the Holiday Marinas, Inc. The Corps will not impound vessels that remain at the Marina and are not in violation of life, health or safety standards before Nov. 30, 2015.”
