Sam Rayburn Lake swim beaches closures extended

Officials with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sam Rayburn Lake announced extended closures to park swim beaches, today.

The closures are to complete repairs to multiple areas affected by historic spring rainfall and the impacts from Tropical Storm Beryl in 2024.

Repairs include:

  • Repair/Paving of Ebenezer Swim Beach Parking Lot
  • Repair/Rehabilitation of Swim Beaches at Ebenezer, Mill Creek, San Augustine and Hanks Creek Parks.
  • Installation of depth markers at all four swim beaches.
  • Installation of new buoys/booms for all four designated swimming areas.
  • New public safety signage and NO BOAT buoys at all four swim beaches.
  • Repair of RV pedestals and electric utility service(s) for campsites 21-30 at Hanks Creek Park.
  • Repair/Replacement of damaged restroom at Hanks Creek Park, adjacent to campsites 21-30.

The listed facilities will remain closed until repairs are completed.
