Canyon Lake, Texas -- Officials with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Canyon Lake are closing Potters Creek Boat Ramp 21 due to dropping lake levels. The closure will be effective Tuesday, August 22.
USACE also manages Boat Ramp 17 that will remain open. Be advised that limited parking is available at Ramp 17 and traffic control measures will be in place to ensure safe operation of the boat ramp.
The staff at Canyon Lake will continue to monitor parks and boat ramps and will provide updates about closures or changes to recreation facility operations.
The USACE team at Canyon Lake encourages visitors to practice leave-no-trace, use designated trash receptacles and to always wear a life jacket while boating or anytime you are in or near the water.
