Officials with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that effective April 1, camping fees at Somerville Lake will be increasing in Rocky Creek and Yegua Creek Parks.

Currently, 50-amp campsites are $28.00/night and will increase to $30.00/night year-round. The 30-amp tent sites located in Rocky Creek Park will now be $26.00/night year-round, while primitive sites in Yegua Creek Park will remain at $20.00/night year-round.

There will no longer be a reduction in price during the winter season (October 1 – Feb 28). Reservations that were made before April 1, will not be impacted by the price increase.  Camping fees at Somerville were last increased in 2014.  Campsite reservations can be made at www.recreation.gov.

Safety is our number one priority. Lake visitors are encouraged to wear a life jacket anytime near or in the water.
