Lake office at Canyon Lake receives renovations causing temporary closings

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at Canyon Lake will temporarily close the lake office while renovations and improvements are made to the facility.

“We appreciate the public's understanding and support of these essential renovations,” said Canyon Lake Manager Javier E. Pérez Ortiz.

The contracted renovations began on May 31 with a 120 day performance period but the anticipated impacts to the lake office for public access should only be for the next several weeks. Phone lines and other telecommunication equipment are also being impacted but the main office number, 830-964-3341 should be off-line for a minimum time.

The dam and associated outlet works continue to function as designed and intended.
