Canyon Lake announces temporary floodgate closure for routine inspection

 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at Canyon Lake will close the floodgates on Wednesday, January 20 to perform inspection of the flood control tower. 

“We appreciate the public's understanding and support of this mission essential inspection work,” said Canyon Lake Manager Javier E. Pérez Ortiz.

The flood gate closures will affect local river flows and the Corps understands this work may impact some river users. The dam and associated outlet works continue to function as intended.
