Officials with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announce today dam safety construction at the Lewisville Lake Dam will impact the area around the outlet works beginning June 1.

Dam Safety Modification construction impacts at the outlet works will cause areas east of the outlet works to be closed. Fishing and hiking will not be allowed on the east side of the outlet works beginning June 1.

Your safety is our number one priority before, during and after construction.  The timeline for construction is dependent on weather, safe management of flood water stored following rain events, and releases needed for water supply.  The dam continues to perform authorized purposes of flood risk management, water supply, recreation, and environmental stewardship.
