U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at Canyon Lake announce today the award of a contract to repair roads at Potters Creek Park.

Paving work is expected to begin on or around January 27 and will involve chip seal and shoulder repair at the following locations: access road and parking lot at Boat Ramp 21, the road leading from Potters Creek Park to Boat Ramp 21, and areas inside Potters Creek Park. Camping facilities will not be affected.   The contractor will be closing the section of road that runs from Potters Creek Road to Boat Ramp 21 to vehicle traffic during this time so alternative routes will need to be taken until the work is completed.  Work is expected to take less than 60 days depending on weather.

“We appreciate the publics’ patience and understanding with the paving,” said Canyon Lake Manager Javier E. Pérez Ortiz.
