U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at Canyon Lake announce today the temporary closing of the newly opened dam service road on September 18 and 19 to conduct survey and topographic work.

Work is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with September 19 reserved if work is not able to be completed or there are weather impacts. As soon as the work is completed, the service road will be re-opened again for visitor use.

“We do understand the popularity of people using the service road but we appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this necessary work,” said Lake Manager Javier Perez-Ortiz.

Additional information on this project can be obtained by calling the lake office at 830-964-3341.
