Construction repairs to renovate and upgrade parks and campgrounds at Lewisville Lake

FORT WORTH, Texas – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at Lewisville Lake announce today the award of a $3,269,485.00 contract for repairs of recreation facilities at Lewisville Lake.  

The sole source selected contract was awarded to NAE Enterprises, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas. NAE is a Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business and SBA Certified 8(a) Program participant. 

Work will be begin this month and will impact operations at several parks and campgrounds at Lewisville Lake. Repairs will be made at Hickory Creek Park, Westlake Park, West Lake Park South, Doe Branch Park, and Big Sandy Boat Ramp Area. At Hickory Creek Park, repairs include RV electrical upgrades, RV pad extensions for handicap accessibility, handicap accessible BBQ grills and picnic tables, pavement road and parking improvements, and group pavilion electrical improvements and pavilion repair.  At Westlake Park, improvements include picnic shelter repairs, group pavilion repairs, new handicap accessible picnic tables and BBQ grills, parking and road repairs, and pipe fencing repairs.  The Westlake Park South repairs include re-grading of the road and parking area to include surface treatment.  Doe Branch Park improvements will include surface treatment of the road and pipe fencing.  The Big Sandy Boat Ramp Area will include additional parking, pavement repair, and pipe fencing.   

Due to the nature of the work and construction equipment moving between locations the parks will not be available starting tomorrow, Oct. 4 through February 2019 with possibility of weather extending the closures.
