USACE announces temporary no bicycle traffic over Joe Pool Dam

FORT WORTH, Texas – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has temporarily closed the road to bicycle traffic over Joe Pool Dam due to cracking causing safety concerns for riders. Repair project is planned to seal the cracks in the road surface, however weather conditions must be ideal for sealant to set, and materials for repair work are on back order. Work is scheduled for completion by the end of April 2018. 

 

 Hikers and pedestrian traffic are asked to stay away from the coned off areas.
