U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fiscal 2019 Civil Works budget press conference scheduled

Washington (February 9, 2018) – The United States Army Corps of Engineers’ press conference to release details of President Trump’s Fiscal 2019 Budget for the Army’s Civil Works program is scheduled for Monday, February 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.  

The press conference will take place at the USACE headquarters in the Government Accountability Office building, 441 G Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20314.  Attendees must enter on the H Street side of the building. 

Mr. Ryan A. Fisher, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Civil Works), and Lt. Gen. Todd T. Semonite, USACE Commanding General, will speak at the press conference.  Other key individuals available for comment will include Maj. Gen. Donald E. (Ed) Jackson, USACE Deputy Commanding General for Civil and Emergency Operations, Mr. Joseph P. Bentz, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army (Management and Budget) in the Office of the ASA(CW), and Mr. Edward E. (Eddie) Belk, Chief of the USACE Civil Works Programs Integration Division. 

Media interested in attending the press conference must call ahead or email not later than 5 p.m., Sunday, February 11, to register to be placed on the access roster. The USACE headquarters is located near the METRO rail Judiciary Square stop on the Red Line, and the Gallery Place-Chinatown stop on the Yellow, Green and Red lines. Parking is limited near the headquarters.
