FORT WORTH, Texas – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers representatives at Waco Lake announce the temporary closure of Midway Park for road repairs and paving. The closure will begin October 1, 2017 and the park will re-open once the work is completed. Repairs are expected to take up to ninety days.
Reservations from October 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017 have been canceled by the Waco Lake project office and full refunds will be issued for this time frame. Camping at other park locations, may be reserved through the recreation service at www.recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.
Safety is always paramount. Visitors are encouraged to wear a life jacket, adhere to warning signs, and be aware of their surroundings. For more information on Waco Lake, call the project office at 254-756-5359.
