Published Jan. 23, 2017

FORT WORTH, Texas – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers representatives at Waco Lake announced the upcoming temporary closure of Bosque Park beginning Monday, January 23. Closure of Bosque Park is necessary to complete an embankment slide repair on the dam. Public safety is priority at Waco Lake, therefore Bosque Park will be closed throughout construction. The Waco Lake Project Office advises all lake visitors to observe restricted area signage. Any persons accessing closed areas will be asked to leave and/or cited. The closure of Bosque Park has an unknown duration due to the complexity of the work; however, the public will be notified when park reopens.
