Sycamore Creek Aquatic Habitat Mitigation
Lynde Dodd, left, a research biologist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Lewisville Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility, talks with Karen Wright, a landscape architect with the Corps of Engineers' Fort Worth District, along the riverbanks of Sycamore Creek, a tributary of Trinty River, in Fort Worth, Texas, Jan. 20, 2023. Wright designed the landscaping plan which Dodd is now planting for this habitat mitigation project. This portion of the project helps restore the Sycamore Creek connection to West Fork Trinity River, one of the first phases under the overall Central City flood risk mitigation plan since funding was provided by the FY22 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
