Two Bridges crossing the Trinity River south of downtown Dallas
The July 15 site visit by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters Regulatory Program Manager Lauren Diaz included the two bridges that cross the Trinity River south of downtown Dallas. The historic Santa Fe Trestle, which now carries a hike-bike trail across the river, would be preserved under a plan that would remove the bridge approaches, which are an obstacle that backs up flood waters into the Floodway.
