  • Waco Lake Hunting Program Changes

    Effective this 2025 – 2026 Hunting Season, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Waco Lake will require all hunters to obtain a permit through Recreation.gov, regardless of game type. The cost of each permit will be $15. Permits will be available starting August 15th, 2025.
  • Whitney and Aquilla Lakes Hunting Program Changes

    The Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials announced today that the Whitney and Aquilla Lakes Project will be changing the administration procedures of the Project’s Public Hunting Program. The legacy website that has been used to manage the public hunting program at the Whitney and Aquilla Lakes Project for more than 20 years is being discontinued.
  • USACE – Belton Lake Temporarily Closes Westcliff Park

    Officials with the Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that effective Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Belton Lake Project Office is planning to temporarily close Westcliff Park to allow for contracted construction work to be completed throughout the park. Westcliff Park received significant damage during the recent flood events. To ensure public safety, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be temporarily closing the park to allow for the repairs to be performed.
