Sycamore Creek Ecosystem Restoration
Lynde Dodd, a research biologist with the Lewisville Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility, plants native tree and perennial species on the prairie flats and along the riverbanks of Sycamore Creek, a tributary of Trinty River, in Fort Worth Texas, Jan. 20, 2023. This habitat mitigation project, which restores the Sycamore Creek connection to West Fork Trinity River, is one of the first phases under the overall Central City flood risk mitigation plan since funding was provided by the FY22 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
