Aaron Schad, a University of North Texas graduate student, is documenting existing plant distribution at grid points in the mitigation area of Dallas as part of the Dallas Floodway Extension Project. These survey sites will help the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers determine what beneficial species will need to be introduced and to pick the sites most conducive for planting.
