DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A WASTEWATER COLLECTION LINE AND
PIPELINE EASEMENT
JOE POOL LAKE, ELLIS COUNTY, TEXAS
The public is hereby notified of the availability of the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the proposed construction of a waste water collection pipeline and easement near Joe Pool Lake, Ellis County, Texas.
This EA addresses the potential impacts from the construction, maintenance, and operation of a waste water collection pipeline on federal land associated with Joe Pool Lake. The purpose of the project is to provide a foundation for regional waste water management capacity to meet existing and forecasted waste water demands for the City of Grand Prairie, Texas and surrounding areas. The project consists of approximately 3.4 miles (17,760 feet) of waste water pipeline with a right-of-way to be located in an undeveloped parcel of land owned by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The project area lies to the south of Joe Pool Lake and north of the intersection of Unites States Highway (US) 287 and FM 661 in northwest Ellis County, Texas.
