FORT WORTH, Texas – The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers at Belton Lake will temporarily close Sparta Valley Park, beginning Saturday, March 14 due to construction activities associated with road repair.
The park is expected to reopen by Wednesday, March 18. To better accommodate the public, USACE will be waiving boat ramp fees at Westcliff Park, approximately 1.5 miles away from Sparta Valley Park during this period.
This temporary closure is necessary because of the amount of time needed for the concrete road shoulders to cure, without the possibility of traffic interfering.
